Question

Export to Word feature in DC API

The quality of docx produced is exceptional compared to most.

Is there an API available to incorporate this export feature in our application or can I run DC/Export as a command line command ?

Appreciate any suggestions

Hi,

It is my understanding that the current Adobe Acrobat DC doesn't support that type of command line PDF file conversion,

See this thread: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11341073/how-to-convert-pdf-to-word-using-acrobat-sdk

You may need to use a third party Java scripting tool (not javascript), like ASPOSE for example, or ask the same question in a .Net Microsoft support forum and see what they got.

However, you can achieve this using javascripting in your PDF document which will allow you to automate the process and promote workflow in your work organization.

See the following  step by step  guide by Thom Parker on how to do this by "placing a custom save button on a form":   https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-save-pdf-acrobat-javascript
