Question

Failure to print from Adobe Acrobat Reader

I tried to print a PDF document from the Adobe Acrobat Reader.  It goes through the process, but the printer does not respond or print.

I am able to print a test page and PDF files from Windows.

I have previously been able to print from Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I have this issue as well.  I just uninstalled all adobe products and then reinstalled hoping it was a corrupted file or driver issue, but to no avail.  When I try to print I get an error message that tells me "Adobe is not responding" and then it freezes.

Hi martens3708216,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Please try the troubleshooting steps provided in this help link

For Windows : Troubleshoot Windows system errors, freezes | Adobe software

For Mac : Troubleshoot Mac OS 10.x system errors, freezes | Adobe software

Check if the application is updated to the latest patch released.

Let us know if issue still persists.

Regards,

Meenakshi

I have the same problem - it started in the last two weeks. I got around it once by re-installing my home printer, but this is unrealistic to do overtime and also for my work printer (and others)!

Please find a fix - it is making my work tricky and taking much much longer to complete tasks!!

Hi grootdawid

Please provide the exact dot version of the software & OS installed at your system.

Also check whether is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check for updates "

If this is happening after update & you are on MAC then please refer to this article :- Print menu dialog doesn't appear

If not then check after reinstalling the application.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Yatharth

I have the same problem and more on Mac OS X 10.11.5 (last El Capitan update), with Acrobat Reader DC properly installed, and working perfectly before Apple's last OS X update.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC fails to perform any of the following functions:

- print

- mail

- save as

Adobe staff, please find a solution. Meantime, I will delete Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and related files from the system and use Apple's OS X  native pdf reader, which works fine.
