Fill and Sign is not working when I open a PDF link in Internet Explorer. Is there a reason for this? It was working fine just last week.

Hi Cathy, I replied to another thread of the same issue, what is the version of Internet Explorer?

Thanks,

Josh

Josh,

I am using Internet Explorer and Adobe DC Reader. I open the document in IE and try to use the Fill & Sign but it says "Fill & Sign is not available in browser. Please download the file and work on desktop application."

Is there some setting in Adobe or IE that I am missing?  Under IE's Manage Add-ons I do have Adobe PDF Reader enabled.

I do have Foxit Phantom Control enabled as well - any issue there?

Thanks,

DP

Oh, I understand now...

Fill & Sign is available on the web in the "Document Cloud" https://cloud.acrobat.com/fillsign - if you go there you can upload your PDF to the Fill & Sign application and fill it out and download it from there.

It is also as you note inside of Adobe Reader DC and Acrobat DC, however the Fill & Sign tool there is not available when the PDF is opened in a web browser.  Web browsers have poor support for PDF viewers and most viewers have limited features inside of a web browser.  You can simply open the PDF in Reader DC on your computer and fill it out there in Fill & Sign.

Thanks,

Josh
