Fillable pdf help

I have Acrobbat X and have created a fillable pdf. However, when the person fills in the fields and saves it to send it to us we can't see the fields fill out unless we click on the box and edit the box. What am I doing wrong?

It's not you, it's them. Ask them what application they're using to open the file in.

It's most likely Apple Preview or some kind of browser plugin, ie not Adobe software. Those other applications usually don't handle form fields correctly and can often corrupt the the entire file.
