First Form Field Has Black Bar

I have a fillable pdf and when you open it the first form field is blackened.  It looks like a black bar.  I'm afraid it will confuse someone and they will think they can't type in the field.  How do I fix this?

Go to the field's Properties, Appearance tab, and make sure that the Border Fill Color option is set to No Color.

I did and the fill color is set to no color.  I am really baffled.  If you tab out of it the black bar goes away.  But when you first open the form the entire first form field is black with the cursor blinking in it.  I checked everything in the properties box and just can't figure out why it is doing this.

Did you create this form? If so, in what application? What application are you using to open it when you see this bar?

Can you share the file in question (via Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.)?
