Form field formatted as text

I have a form field, Zip Code, that I would like to export as text when I export the data onto a CSV file.

This information will be uploaded into an access database that already has the zip code field notated as "short text".

When I format it as zip code, or zip code + 4, the exported value is a number (leading zeros are dropped).  There doesn't seem to be an option to format it as text, and support was no help.

• Is there custom formatting script that will allow me to do this?
• Is there a way of creating another type of field that will allow for text as an option?
