Form population from outside of the file

I am developing a solution for auto-populating fillable PDF form. We have Opentext Livelink as our file system, the information I need to populate the pdf forms are residing in the folder name and two or three folder level up from the PDF forms.

Do you know if there is a way to do it? I have checked javascript that seems only populate the information within the form. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
