Forms created in Adobe Acrobat X Pro

I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro.  The initial installation was on my laptop, running Windows 7.  I was able to create fillable forms.  I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 and since that time have not been able to open an Adobe form and fill it in -- I have to first open Adobe, then open the form.  I have just reinstalled the software, but still cannot fill in the form without first opening Adobe.  Is there an installation process I am missing?

Check the Adobe site to see if Acrobat X has been updated to work with Windows 10.

You may also want to check any other software that you have that was released prior to the introduction of Windows 10.

System requirements | Acrobat family of products—older versions (XI, X, 9)

Update KB930627 is required.
