Generating a Number from Selected Radio Buttons

Hello,

I am currently working on a product form and was wondering if there is a way to generate a number from a combination of selected radio buttons.

There is already a formula in place that we use, but I was wondering how to incorporate it into a fillable PDF. I would like a specific field to be filled with the generated number once all 3 required questions are answered.

There are only 6 possible numbers that depend on 3 separate fields

With Acrobat JavaScript you can access the field objects, get the values of field objects, make decisions to conditionally execute blocks of code, perform the 4 basic arithmetic operations and perform many standard trigonometry and algebraic functions, write custom functions. All of this is documented in the Acrobat JavaScript API Reference and MDN JavaScript Reference.

Hi, thanks for the answer.

I'm not too learned in JavaScript. I currently have a formula for the different combinations, but I'm not quite sure how to implement it into the PDF. I'm also not sure how to even start and view the values of the field objects.

You might want to start by looking at some of the videos and tutorials about creating forms provided by Adobe. It will make all our lives easier since I or others will not need to repeat a lot of information that already exist.
