Has anyone figured out how to get hyperlinks to stay active when printing to Adobe Printer from PowerPoint 2013?

I was told that if I printed to Adobe printer in PP 2013 that it would be better for preserving the graphic's quality. But when I do that the hyperlinked images and text are not clickable anymore. Only the obvious url links are still clickable. Is there really any more graphic's quality advantage to Print to Adobe Printer over Save to PDF in PP using Acrobat XI? Is the dpi the same? There is so much conflicting info out there from so called experts. I make sure that the PP doesn't compress the graphics. Is there any other settings I should be utilizing to preserve the 300dpi graphics I use? Thanks for any insights on this.

If printing to the Adobe PDF printer be sure to check and set the job options: the default WILL NOT preserve 300 dpi.

There are exceptions, but mostly if an app offers PDF export, it's the first choice. Ultimately though Powerpoint is a really good tool for screen presentations, and the very last tool to use for high resolution print. Publisher is better, InDesign is the pro choice.

When you use the Adobe PDF printer you will always use meta-objects, such as links. There's no way around that.

Thanks try67. I just find it odd that one url will be preserved but the others ones will not.

I wish there was a way to mark you both correct, so I won't mark anyone correct since you both make good points. 

I tried Publisher a long time ago and it was just not as easy to work with. I don't recall the issues but with PP I could add and drag things around much easier and went back to PP. I have tried Adobe Cloud type programs but it just slows down my machine and it is always wants to be connected and just eats up resources if you have to stream the whole program. I found the how to videos never matched up with my version so could not track or learn what I needed after looking at tons online.  I also don't like paying monthly in perpetuity and having my files unreadable when I stop subscription for something I don't use that much. I am still pretty burned about trying Adobe online suite and then canceling like days after the 30 day trial and ending up paying for six months!  After that I will not even consider Adobe again.

I already owned Acrobat XI and will use that for now but keeping my eye out for something better. I do own Corel 7x suite in disk form but need to find someone to show me how I can use it for what I need. I found that it was much more like PP and something I could relate to better.
