Absolutely. Huge security hole.

Consider: suppose you could just put this in a PDF and send it round your office. Your intentions are good and the plan is fine. But...

Someone could make a PDF and put it on the internet that SAVES FILES WITHOUT WARNING to any computer. They could break computers, hide secret information, plant false evidence, all sorts of things. Utterly unacceptable. So you have to decide to weaken the security. For this reason it's also important that you choose your own secret name for the function, not use one from any sample.

If you don't fully realise the consequences and implications talk to your security guys. They need to make the call.

It is supposed to be difficult because otherwise it is a HUGE security hole. But that is how you can do this.

1. Folder level scripts must be set up by walking to a computer, to protect people from bad stuff. Changes to your folder level scripts apply to your computer. You must make identical changes, adapted to work with Acrobat Reader as needed, on every other computer.

HI,

According to the documentation you can only saveAs to jpeg from a batch or console event.

You might want to explore privileged context as that may give you some more options.

documentation is here - https://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/acrobat_dc_sdk/2015/HTMLHelp

Malcolm
