Highlight Selected text using scripting

Hi,

I want to highlight selected text in Acrobat Pro DC.

I am using gApp.MenuItemExecute("Annots:TextEditMenu:HighlightNote") which is working in Acrobat Pro 8 but not in pro DC.

Please help me to understand how can I do this using script.

I am also trying to write a script that will highlight specific text in an auto-generated email. I am using a platform where buttons can be created. Behind the specific button I'm working on, I have added a script that when clicked an email pops up with recipients, subject line, content within the body, etc. I would like to highlight specific words within this email. Can anyone assist with this?
