highlighting text

I am in school, all my books are PDF format, I can highlight text but when I close and reopen, the text is no longer highlighted. Please help

Hi ,

Are you using the highlight text tool under the Comments Tool.If yes ,then it would no longer deselect the highlighted text.

Yes, I went under the comments tool, highlighted text, closed the book. Opened it back up and my text is not highlighted, wondering do I have to save the adobe book every time? Im just confused why my highlighting will not stay
