Question

How can I delete a page in Acrobat XI?

Under Acrobat X I was unable to delete a page. The message: "One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted" always came up and prevented me from deleting the selected pages.

I was told in this forum that Acrobat X is incompatible with Windows 10, which I use.

I then upgraded to Acrobat XI and was able to delete pages for a few days. But now the same message comes regularly up again. What do I do wrong?

Also, if you see thumbnails, close them.

I have version 11.0.13. No updates are available for this version

Only the embedded thumbnails can be removed. I removed them but I still cannot delete pages.

I can delete a page only when I shut down Acrobat XI and restart Acrobat. But then the deletion of a page becomes impossible again if I navigate through the document or edit some text.

Disable the thumbnails view in Windows Explorer or close Windows Explorer.

Hi ,

Please check the if Acrobat is updated to the latest patch or not.

You were experiencing this with Acrobat X as it is not a compatible version with Windows 10.
