How do I access check box properties after I have already saved the pdf in Acrobat Pro DC?

I made a form from a Word document that contains check boxes and text fields.  Acrobat read many but not all of the boxes in the Word document as radio buttons so I changed them to check boxes.  When I select them I get a check mark.  The check boxes that Acrobat originally created get the black box when selected.  I have saved the pdf file.  Is there a way to get to the check box properties menu so I can change the boxes to check marks or do I need to start over from the original Word document again?

Hi maclover813 ,

you shoul be able to change every single form item in Acrobat Pro DC: right-click on the item you want to change and alter the properties you want to.

You can mark several items at once by clicking the item while holding down the Ctrl/Strg-Button on the keyboard.
