HOw do I add a scanner to Acrobat Standard

there's nothing for you to do to add printers/scanners/fonts to a particular program. they're added to your system (in the case of scanners by installing the scanner's drivers) and acrobat will detect compatible devices.
if you're having a problem, update your scanner's driver.
