Question

How do I get a text field or dropdown field to be able to select a date.

I am trying to populate a text field to be able to select today's date. The form is line by line. So each line will have a different date. In the old forms central I was able to select the date field and it would automatically give me a drop down menu to select the relevant date. I need to the same but Acrobat DC requires a script is would seem.

This feature has never been built into Acrobat forms. LiveCycle has this feature. But Acrobat forms provides the tools to create a date picker using JavaScript.

Both FormRouter and PDFScripting.com have tools that can be add a pop-up calendar.

You can also use the Prepare form to add a downdown list and populate it with the date options you want to use.
