How do I label check-boxes?

Hello Acrobat-Community,

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Standard DC and I'm trying to create a form with check-boxes.

Is there o possibility to label check-boxes? Let's say I have 3 options.

What colors do you like?

x green
x red
  blue

I would use 3 check-boxes. But I didn't find the option to label them (green, red and blue). Instead I have to create 3 extra text-fields right next to the check-boxes. I find this very inconveninent.

Is there an Option in Acrobat that I didn't find? Thanks for the help.

No, there's no such option. You'll need to use text fields, or add static text to the document next to the check-boxes.

Acrobat form fields do not have a label option. Acrobat relies on the content layer of the PDF to provide the label for the field. This is different from LiveCycle designer were each type of form field has an option for a label.

I needed one can Edit the PDF and add text to the content layer if needed.
