Using Acrobat Pro 8 to create Reader Extended forms with fillable fields for saved data within, is there any special  save/setup/export quired to make these forms fillable and savable using Reader on an iPad or Android mobile?

(I have an Android phone with the Adobe Reader app installed, and when I view a fillable PDF form that works perfectly on my laptop with Reader, I cannot even click into a field on the phone...)

Thanks for the reply GK, but it didn't really answer any of the specifics of my question. I asked for help HOW to make the forms usable on Reader mobile as although you say that it can be done, and that nothing has changed, I am not able to get it to work with Adobe Reader Mobile.

If you have any specific help I'd be grateful.

Any version of Acrobat that can create a form from version 4 on.

Books dedicated to only creating forms with Acrobat have been written. Also the UI for the product has changed, There are may tutorials written about this subject, so please read them firs and come back to ask specific questions.

On the index page of this form there a link to tutorials.

With Acrobat Professional 8 and 9 one can add extended form rights. With version X, XI and DC Standard can add Extended Rights and forms created with Acrobat DC and accessed by Reader XI o rDC do not need rights

Your biggest issue will be with the mobile apps being used because the app must support PDF forms. You cannot create forms with LiveCycle Designer also known as XML forms.

Any version of Acrobat can create forms that could be usable on mobile devices.

The basic form technology has not changed since version 4.

The big problem is the number of different mobile devices and the many different PDF reader apps for those devices. Many apps cannot process forms and all those that can have limited processing capability. For example with Acrobat or the computer version or Reader date formats are honored but for mobile devices the date format does not work.

A developer needs to develop the form and then test the form on the expected devices and apps. Simple calculations should work unless there are special functions involved but date time calculations will not work.
