Question

how do I open multiple documents as tabs rather than separate windows in Acrobat DC?

I just recently installed Adobe Acrobat 12, and instead of defaulting to opening documents as multiple tabs in a single window, it opens each document as a new window.  It only seems to do the tabs in Adobe Reader.  I can't figure out how to make it open documents as tabs rather than windows in Acrobat.  Anyone know how to do this, or if it's even possible?

Yes, it should be part of an upcoming upgrade, for purchase. This is just like new features have always been - but the confusing thing is that the subscription version and Acrobat Reader are running ahead.

Got it. It does make it a bit confusing having them on different upgrade schedules like this. Thank you so much for your help! I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for that upgrade...

Tabs were not in the original release of Acrobat DC. They were added in an upgrade. If you have a permanent license, in due course this upgrade will be available as part of a purchase. Subscribers get early access to upgrades and already have tabs.

I do have a permanent license. So this feature should be available as part of an upcoming upgrade, or is it already part of an existing upgrade?  And would this be just an update, or will I have to actually purchase something?
