how do I plug in Acrobat DC to my HP Scanjet 5590?

I just installed an HP Scanjet 5590 on a computer running Windows 7 (64 bit).  The scanner works fine, except that it will only save to jpeg and other similar formats.  It will not save to pdf format.  My intended use for the scanner is b/w documents.  Without being able to scan to pdf, the scanner is pretty much useless.

Hi timothyd1645768

Try opening Adobe Acrobat application and go to File menu > Create > PDF from scanner.

Then check if you can view your scanner name in the drop down list under Scanner.

If yes, then select it and try to create PDF. Refer this KB doc for help: Scan documents to PDF, Adobe Acrobat

If you still experience the issue, let us know the dot version of Adobe Acrobat you are using.

Share the exact steps you do to scan to PDF.

Regards,

Meenakshi
