How do I protect PDF from editing, but allow someone else to change open password without knowing permissions password?
I am creating a PDF form for my clients to fill out. I don't want my clients to be able to edit the document itself, only fill in the fields. I also want my clients to be able to protect their filled out form with a confidential password that I don't know. Theoretically, the fact that there is a separate Document Open Password and Permissions Password should help me out here. The problem is, I want to be able to set the Permissions Password myself, and my client to set the Open Password. The system assumes they are being made by the same person, and doesn't allow you to change the Open Password without first putting in the Permissions Password to change the settings. That defeats the purpose with regards to my plan, and here lies the problem.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
