How is page view locked within Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

Page view changes when using bookmarks.  Have adjusted all settings possible, I believe all possible, but the viewing preferences do not hold when navigating to another page within the same document using bookmarks.  Is there a setting that will hold page view preferences when opening (initial view) any .pdf document and/or when using bookmarks to navigate to a different page within a .pdf document?

That depends on how the bookmarks were set up. If the zoom option selected for them is "Inherit Zoom" then your current zoom setting will be kept when you click them. If it's anything else then it will change to the one specified by the bookmark's action.
