How to install acrobat X1 after completing trial for Acrobat DC

I tried the trial version of Acrobat DC, when the trial expired, I tried to reinstall Acrobat Pro X1. I got a message "a more capable version is detected" and the installation stopped. I removed Acrobat DC from the computer and tried to reinstall Acrobat Pro X1 and got the same message, and the installation stopped. How do I clean the remnants of Adobe DC?
