How to set default page transition auto flip setting to 0

I'm exporting an interactive PDF from inDesign to PDF. My reader is Acrobat Pro DC. In the reader, the Page Transitioning > Auto Flip setting is set at 5 seconds by default. Is there anyway to have that Auto Flip box unchecked and seconds set to 0 by default?

I know that I can do this manually, each time I export. But why? Who wants to open a PDF, of any sort, and have it start automatically flipping the pages every 5 seconds?  Seems like the default should be 0.

Thanks!

Rob

Hi rsbisa

You might need to change the Page Transitions settings under Export in InDesign.

I'm using standalone DC. The PDF is set to open Full Screen, BTW. The doc is created in inDesign and exported with the Open in Full Screen setting.

I am able to fix this after export by unchecking the Page Transition > Auto Flip box, then Save. After that, I can distribute the PDF to others and it works fine without Auto Flipping.

It just seems odd that the default setting would be Auto Flip > 5 secs. Who wants to open a PDF and have it start immediately flipping pages? This is such a random setting that would only be useful in limited instances.

Perhaps the answer lies within inDesign export settings?

That's it!

Thank you.

This is the correct answer. But I'm not seeing the "Correct Answer" button.

Hi rsbisa

I am sorry for late response.

Could you please let us know if this is a standalone installation of Acrobat Pro DC or administered by an IT?
