hyperlink format

hi guys... I'm working in Microsoft Word 2016 and then converting to pdf... I want to add hyperlinks to a series of pictures - the hyperlink works in PDF but it is just the boring old handtool ... does anyone know how I can spice it up - perhaps with a shadow appearing around the picture as the handtool hovers over it? Is this possible when converting from Word?
