I installed free trial of Adobe Acrobat DC Pro on my PC because my boss has this version on his Surface Pro. I created a Portfolio through Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro. ( I created this by taking PST Outlook files and converting them to PDF) When I open this Portfolio on my newly installed DC Pro majority of my tool options are greyed out.. I can't use them. Is there a way to resave this PDF file that I've already created into a DC Pro PDF? I need to be able to make edits to this document in DC Pro and to be able to use the functions of DC pro... or I need to know that this isn't possible and come up with a new plan... quickly. I have 4 days before a trial begins to figure this out. PLEASE HELP ME!! Thank you!

Hi,

Majority of tools are grayed out because they are non-functional for portfolio.

However you can edit the component files as follows:

1. Select the file that you want to edit.

2. Click on Open Document button. File will open in another tab\window.

3. Edit the file as needed.

4. Save the portfolio file.

Hi ,

What OS do you work on?

Please check the document properties and see if it was only made compatible with Acrobat 10 and not any higher versions.

Hi thank you for responding!

I'm in Windows 10. The properties say that its compatible with DC and does not show any restrictions or anything.

Do you think it has anything to do with the fact that its a free trial?

I also when ahead and tried to create my own PDF portfolio, by creating it through DC and once I did that I still cannot edit the portfolio. For example... I want to sort my files in a particular order. I cannot seem to do that and all my edit options are still greyed out. If I click on a specific PDF within the portfolio the PDF is editable. But organizing the portfolio as a whole seems to be a non option. Even though that's crazy that DC Pro would not have that as an option. I am clearly doing something wrong, or the trial is not allowing me to use all of the functions the software offers.

Any insight or thoughts on this? Thanks for your help.

Hi ,

There is nothing like that trial would impact anything.

The purpose of trial is to use it effectively and then purchase after you are fully convinced.

I hope you are not accessing PDF' with Reader as it would not allow you edit PDF'.Reader does not allow you to edit PDF'.

Please do not get confused with the names, Acrobat Reader DC is Reader and Acrobat DC is Acrobat.
