I cannot insert XML into pdf, getting an error about going to documents and attaching. One file is able to be edited and one is showing pages are greyed out.

I cannot attach, these two have to be merged. The file that lets me see items in the pages section, I've tried extracting to desktop as pdf, and combining the other pdf, still getting the same xml error. One file is a pdf from the desktop the other is from a webpage, when viewed as a pdf on the page, they hit save as pdf to desktop.

Adobe 10.1.10

Actually i figured it out.

i was clicking on convert to pdf on the webpage and not print, then selecting pdf.

that fixed it immediately.

First of all you should know that Acrobat X is not compatible with Windows 10.

Beyond that, no, you can't merge a regular PDF file with a PDF file that was created using LiveCycle Designer (if that's what you mean by an XML file).

This is creating another step in the process of creating a single pdf.   I have 10 documents to import into my pdf, 5 of them have to be opened, printed to pdf, and resaved - then i can import it into my pdf.   VERY TIME CONSUMING!!!

Isn't there a better way ????
