I changed my printer and adobe doesn't recognize the new one. I'm not having any problems printing - only issue is trying to scan.

Although the printer is also a scanner, it is entirely separate in the minds of Windows. Did you install the TWAIN driver for the scanner part? (If not sure, install all the software for the device).
