I have Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 Standard. It has been working fine but the function to create PDF files from document files has suddenly stopped working. How can I fix this without buying a new prodict which seems to be the only option?

You have quite an old version of Acrobat, and it's not compatible with any current operating system (Windows 7 or newer), nor with the newer versions of Office, so such problems are to be expected.

I'm not sue that is correct. It has been working for years before and after my upgrade to Windows 10 and only started this problem a few days ago

The fact it worked is not related to it being incompatible. The latter

means its not tested on that environment and therefore not guaranteed to

work on it.
