I need to convert pdf files into OCR format, how do I do it without exporting to a word document?

I need to convert PDF files into an OCR format pdf. I have the new adobe acrobat. How do I do this? Right now I am going into enhance scans and clicking recognize text, but how can I be sure that the version I am saving is OCR?

Yes I know that, my question is about saving a pdf with OCR. I don't want to convert a bunch of files to OCR and save them and not have it be OCR when it is opened again.

After your run Recognize Text and save the file, the newly added text is saved with it, of course.
