I tried Acrobat DC in a trial and cannot get Acrobat Standard X on a disc to install because it states i have a later version. What do I need to do?

I had Acrobat Standard X installed on my computer.  My computer was wiped clean to fix a problem.  I did not have my disc for Acrobat X Standard, so I used the Trial for Adobe Acrobat DC.  After the trial I tried to install Acrobat Standard X from a disc I have.   The installation stops stating I have a later version.  Do I have to remove the DC Trial and will that destroy any of my records?

Hi TerriTerrific,

Yes you will have to remove Acrobat DC from your system in order to install acrobat X.

You can uninstall Acrobat trial using this cleaner tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

To answer you other query, removing Acrobat DC will not affect any of your existing pdf records.
