Using Acrobat DC on Windows 10. Super Ultra Novice here.

Not sure if layers is the right term, but I want to create a drop down with 20 options, each option, if selected should lead to a new option, and then another. In most cases it should be 5 layers deep. IS this possible without using outside tools? I know nothing of Javascript and have been watching tutorials all day trying to figure this out.

Is there a Javascript pre made template out there somewhere that I could use as a starting point?

It's not really layers, no. I call it "Cascading Dropdowns", and I have developed a tool (written in pure Acrobat JavaScript) that allows you to easily set it up, if you have the data available in a spreadsheet.

You can find it here: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Create Cascading Dropdowns
