if text field is populated fill color is yellow, if field is blank fill color is white

I have a few text fields I would like to change the fill color when the field is populated to yellow. If the text field is not populated the fill color would be white or transparent. The text color would be black. Can someone tell me how to accomplish this and where would the script go? Thank you everyone.
