In Windows 10, I cannot convert a Word 2016 file to pdf

When I try to do this from Windows Explorer, an Adobe window opens and a progress bar appears.  Then after a bit, it disappears and the pdf is never created.

Hi David,

Acrobat 9 is not supported with Office 2016.

See list of supported Acrobat versions with Office 2016 here Web browsers and PDFMaker applications compatible with Acrobat and Reader

We suggest you to upgrade to latest Acrobat DC version.

Thanks,

Ruchi

Hi David,

To help us better understand the issue, can you please share the following information :

1. Acrobat version you are using.

2. Does it happen for all Word files or some specific files?

3. Are you able to do convert excel and ppt files?

Thank you.

9 Pro.It happens for all Word files. It has occurred since I upgraded to Windows 10 and Word 2016. However, I cannot trace a timeline exactly to either change. I do it in Windows Explorer. I cannot convert Excel files either. I don't use Power Point so I cannot answer that question.

I can open a Word document and save it as pdf. I can also combine multiple pdf files into one.

Thank you again. I appreciate your response.

Acrobat 9 is an old version, not compatible with Windows 10 or Office 2016.
