Question

Increasing the dpi of a scanned document

A client has given us a documents scanned at 200 dpi to ocr and insert into another document scanned at 300 dpi. They want the resulting document to be entirely 300 dpi even though the image quality of the 200 dpi pages won't be changed. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Deanna,

Right now there is no option of up-sampling(200 to 300 DPI).

While running OCR you can select 300 DPI as down-sample value. It will also run OCR on pages of low DPI(say 150) but will not up-sample it to 300.

Do you want this result(all pages on 300 DPI) for better OCR output or for uniformity of document(same DPI for all pages of document).

Thanks.
