install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

I am trying to install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on my laptop from a disk. I downloaded it on my desktop computer first with no problem. I keep getting an error 28000 message in the middle of the installation. The installation is stopped then rolled back. I am working on a Windows 10 laptop. I saw instructions about deleting the Adobe directory of registry, but I am afraid to delete anything pertaining to a registry. I also have Adobe Captivate installed on my laptop so I don't want to mistakenly delete anything associated with Captivate. Please help!

Also, before I bought the software I did not pay attention to the fact that my laptop doesn't have a drive. Is there a way to download and install the software from the internet? I ended up purchasing a disk drive, but if downloading from the internet would help, I'd like to do that.

Hi laronm28517961 ,

Would like to inform you that you will have to deactivate Acrobat DC from your desktop before installing it on your laptop .

You cannot use the same subscription of Acrobat on two systems at a time .

To deactivate you can launch acrobat DC in your desktop , navigate to Help>Deactivate.

You can then install Acrobat Pro DC in your laptop from this link : Download and install Acrobat DC subscription

If still you face the same error, please refer this links : Error 28000. Installation of Acrobat Licensing Module has failed? and

Installing Acrobat Pro DC, getting error 28000. Installation of Acrobat licensing Module has failed, refers me to potent…

Let us know if this helps.
