Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 on my new macbook pro

I have a Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.  I have used it on my old Macbook Pro.  Recently, I have changed a different Macbook Pro as my old mac died.  But I could not get it work after loading it from the CD.  There is an Icon of Adobe.  But when I click on it, it does not do anything.  I have the box and production key or sereis #.
