internal error

After I upgraded to Win 10, I am receiving "internal error" messages on some of the PDFs that I receive.

I have cleaned, scrubbed, re-installed Reader XI (11.0.10). I also have Acrobat XI Standard (11.0.16) and have updated it.

This does not happen with all PDFs, but it is happening more frequently and with my critical client's documents.

The PDF opens, but as I scroll down the document, at a certain page, the "Internal error" message is generated. On my latest file, that page also generates an error that says "insufficient data to generate an image." About half of the 40 page document is blank or not showing a page at all.

I have checked with other colleagues on the same file and they have no trouble reading them.

Hi roberts34511815 ,

Please Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software :- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.

If the files are on network drive or on browser please check after downloading on local drive & then check .

Also check after disabling Protected mode :- Acrobat > Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > disable Protected mode , then OK.

Let me know how it goes.
