invalid serial number

Question

I recently received a new computer and cannot find my cd to install my acrobat professional 9.0 license.  When I try to install Acrobat Pro 9.0 with my serial number I receive a message saying the serial # is invalid.  I contacted customer support and they told me it was a technical issue I would have to go to the forums for help. Please advise.

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?
Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems
Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?
