Invalid serial number message

Adobe Acrobat XI Standard was installed on my Dell computer when I purchased it 2.5 years ago. Suddenly it started asking me for a serial number when I try to open it. I enter the number on the disc jacket that was shipped with the computer, but it gives me an "invalid number" message. How do I get access to the software I purchased?

Thank you.  This ultimately worked, though not exactly like you described.  The sign-in link in your message didn't work, so I went to adobe.com.  Signing in there didn't give me the options you mentioned, so I searched on "View your product".  The first item included instructions to go to accounts.adobe.com and sign in there.  From that page, I was able to follow the rest of your instructions and get my correct serial number.  Not sure why it's different from what Dell installed 2.5 years ago or why after all this time it suddenly started asking for it.  But at least I can now get into my software.  Thanks again.

Hi holmesb82369832,

Please make sure that you are using the correct serial number.

You can check your serial number here Sign in - Adobe ID . Sign in on this page with your Adobe ID under which you have purchased the product.

Then choose Plans & products > View all > Products > View your products.

Also refer this KB doc: Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite

Let us know if you still experience the issue.

Regards,

Meenakshi
