Is there a way to change layout settings automatically on files when opened?

Hello

I work with hundreds of PDF files which I have to go through and set up the layout for each one manually.  It would be great if I could set up something that when a file opens, it changes the layout for the file to Layout: Single Page and Magnification: Fit to page, then saves.

Can anyone direct me to an idea how to do this?  New to Adobe somewhat and this would save me a LOT of work.

Thanks!

If you're referring to the Initial View options (under File - Properties), it's not possible with a script but it is with an Action, if you have Acrobat Pro.

That is what I'm looking at!  I do have Acrobat Pro so I'll have to fiddle with Action and see what I can learn with it.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and a quick answer!

You can do it using the Set Open Options command, under the Document Processing section.
