Is there any way to have thumbnails visible as a default every time I open a document?

I would like to see my thumbnails every time I open a document. ?The older versions allowed this - it is driving me nuts to have to go into

view-show/hide-navigation panes-thumbnails every single time I open a document. Any way to set this as a default view?

... But you can't apply it by default to any file that you open, if that's what you mean.

You can specify this in the inital view of the document properties.

Sadly, this is not the answer I wanted but I guess it is what it is. Perhaps Adobe can consider making this an option in an update. It is one thing I always liked about opening my PDF documents - seeing the thumbnails immediately upon opening. Thank you try67.

Hi Melinda,

Do you want to enable navigation pane by default or you want to view thumbnail preview icon of the PDF file?
