Is there any way to keep the 3D preferences settings same when mailed to someone.......so that the other person doesn't have to change those setting on his/her machine to view the file?

There are some default viewer settings that the model can override. Can you be more specific?

when someone opens a 3D pdf file, the followings settings (under 3D Preferences) have to be changed for the best experience

  • Uncheck - Enable selection for hand tool
  • Optimization scheme for low framerate - "set to None from default Bounding Box"
  • Framerate threshold value - " set to 1 from default value 15"

Now these settings are to be changed when viewing a 3D Pdf file on a system for the first time on any new machine.

Is there any way possible that if the file with the above settings is mailed to someone, the user doesn't have to do it on their machines?

Thanks

Vinayak

Of the three items you listed, only the first can be set in the model... sort of. You can add a JavaScript to the model that will automatically deselect a mesh immediately after it's selected.

The other settings are machine specific.
