Is this a counterfeit version of Acrobat X?

I need help figuring out if this copy of Adobe Acrobat X I just purchased is counterfeit or not. I compared the label on the bottom of the box to the images shown here:

https://www.adobe.com/content/dotcom/en/products/anti-piracy/feature-details/box-bottom.modalpage.html

The Adobe logo is surrounded with a blue overlay with "Genuine Adobe" printed on top of it. If you look at it one way the text appears to be dark, but if you shift the box a bit to the side so the light hits it from another angle, the text is golden.

Does this mean that the item is very certainly a fake? Did I just get scammed? I ask because I just bought this and since it's unopened I can ask for a return and refund.

Thank you.

There's no way of knowing for sure until you try to register the serial-number. If that doesn't work then it's a pirated copy.

If you have any doubts then return it, I would say, or at least let the seller know that you'll demand a refund in case it's an illegal copy.

I've never heard of Adobe product including "genuine Adobe". That's not usually the sort of thing the genuine producer needs to do.  It's now almost impossible to find genuine copy of this ancient version, Adobe stopped selling it maybe 5 years ago.
