Javascript not working in PDF

Hi, I have Adobe Acrobat Standard and I want to create a form that autogenerates a unique number (like invoice number). I think I need to use Javascript but this option is not available. Can you please advise? I also need to mention that this form will be used for different users with Widows and Mac computers.
