Just purchased and installed Acrobat XI but the serial number is not being accepted

I received an error message stating, "The serial number you entered is invalid. Please try again with a valid serial number. If the problem persists, contact Customer Support."  But apparently, customer support doesn't exist for this product.  The serial number should certainly be valid as I just purchased Acrobat.

May I ask where you purchased? There must be this question as the product is discontinued and Adobe no longer sell it. There are a worrying number of counterfeit sellers, and this is an area to look into.

I purchased three separate copies of the product through eBay (3 individual retail packages).  Two of them installed and validated just fine.  The third one is giving me problems.

Please confirm that you are entering the correct serial number from the link mentioned: Find your Adobe product serial number quickly

Then try downloading from the link mentioned: Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

Please let us know if this resolves your issue.

Thank you for your reply. The product came in retail packaging and the serial number decal is clear and intact. The number was entered in correctly during the installation and was initially accepted as being a legitimate sequence of numbers, but when the code was evaluated online it gave me that error.
