Line / Page Breaks?

Hi, When i create a pdf from xls for instance and it has more than one page, when its published online, the pdf doesn't fit the page and has multiple page breaks which has about the top half of the second page on the bottom of the first page which continues as the document gets longer.  Ive tried formatting the Excel file without success.  Is ther a setting within Acrobat which would respove this?  Its driving me nuts.  Im using a Mac if it makes any difference.
