I have an existing license for an upgrade copy of Acrobat 9 I am trying to load onto a new computer. Since it cannot locate a previous version on the new computer it is asking me to enter the serial number.  I cannot locate my old copy or the serial number.  How do I resolve this?

then your version 9 serial number should be linked to the account you used in 2009, Adobe ID

and adobe support may (or may not be able to help you), contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

you'll need both your acrobat 9 and the previous versions serial numbers.  there's no legal work-around.

you might be able to get help finding/retrieving those serial numbers if they're still installed somewhere or you purchase from or registered with adobe.

I purchased and registered version 9 in March of 2009.  I have no idea where my previous copy or serial number is.  It is not on my Adobe account.
