Mac OS X file will not open, says I need a new version of Acrobat, but I've already updated?
I downloaded Adobe Acrobat, because the standard pdf viewer with Mac gave me this error message:
"For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later."
Once I downloaded this, I tried to open the pdf, but the same error message shows. I double-checked the program, and I already have to most updated version. I don't want to pay to convert the file, since I only need the pdf. I also would need to pay if I wanted another version of this pdf (it's a transcript). Does this sound like an abobe problem, or a problem with the original file? I contacted the people who I downloaded the transcript from, and I'm waiting to hear back. I was hoping to troubleshoot this on my own, but I seem to be backed into a corner where I'm not actually sure what step to take next.
If anybody has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
